Ever hear the story about a man on his boat, living an adventurous, daring life at sea just by sitting at the dock? Have you heard tales about him cruising to various Florida ports and seeking new destinations, all while being tied to only one marina? No? Me either! So, why are you tied down to one marina when you have the option to use 12 Loggerhead Marina ® locations for the price of one? Reciprocal dockage (if I had a nickel for every time I heard, "What the heck is reciprocal dockage?") is what we consider one of the truly unique benefits of docking at Loggerhead Marina, and requires very little effort beyond a phone call. The concept is simple and the process is painless. If you dock your boat at a Loggerhead Marina location for a month or longer, you are entitled to free, overnight dockage at any Loggerhead Marina. Your stay at other Loggerhead Marina locations besides your home port marina is limited to 14 days per calendar month (here comes the fine print – not to exceed seven consecutive nights at one location, utilities not included). You are able to utilize this free dockage every month that you have a current lease at your home port marina. Many seasonal boaters will use their reciprocal dockage at the start or the end of their migration. For example, consider the case of a Loggerhead member at Hollywood returning from the cold North for another sun-filled winter. This member, once reaching Florida, could stay a couple nights each in Daytona Beach, travel to Vero Beach, then on to South Lantana, and finally reach their home port at Hollywood. The free reciprocal dockage will cover those nights at the other Loggerhead marinas, while saving the member money and the headache of finding transient dockage. Also, keep in mind this benefit is always there for other uses; a weekend getaway, a cruising vacation, the options are unlimited! So, how do you get started? Again, simply dock your boat at any of the 12 Loggerhead marinas located throughout Florida, and let your home port Harbor Master know the dates and which Loggerhead marinas you want to visit. Our team will do the rest! Given our multiple locations throughout Florida, it is possible to travel almost the entire length of the state without paying for dockage! For more information about Loggerhead Marina and reciprocal dockage, please visit or call 888-LOGGER2. marina benefitS While providing efficient and outstanding service to Florida's boating community, the well-trained professional staff at Loggerhead Marina is dedicated to providing members and guests with genuine hospitality and efficient service at a level that is usually reserved for private yacht clubs. In addition to a wet or dry slip monthly, seasonal, or annual agreement at your home port, members at each of the 12 locations enjoy the following benefits:
